Meet Board Director Krysti-Lee Patterson

The Wounds Australia Board is made up of volunteers who are highly respected professionals in their fields. In 2024, we welcome three new Directors to the Board and we'll be meeting them in the news centre in coming weeks. Today it is the turn of Krysti-Lee Patterson, who shares with us her love of innovation, technology and pharmacy-led wound care. Who are you and what do you do for a living?My name is Krysti-lee Patterson and I am a registered Pharmacist, Founder and Managing Director of Meitheal Services, an independent consulting agency that provides learning and development solutions for the pharmacy industry. I am also the Founder and CEO of LRNRX mobile-first software solution for educating pharmacy staff. I live in Sydney with my husband, step-daughter and fur-babies Tobie the Cavoodle and Raffy the Cat. What do you enjoy most about your job?I love creating education and training to healthcare professionals so that they can feel empowered and engaged to be able to deliver the best possible care to their patients. I also love technology and integrating innovative approaches to health care. Why did you pursue this field?I always was interested in health, helping people and wanted to be a business owner. Have you served on a Board before? Why were you attracted to volunteering for Wounds Australia?Yes, I am also the Chair of Lived Experience Australia and Industry Advisory Board member of the University of Technology Pharmacy Program. I am also a past VP of the NSW Branch of the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia. I am passionate about increasing awareness of pharmacy-led wound initiatives. What is your proudest achievement – personal or professional?Finishing university to become a pharmacist, and then continuing to pursue further tertiary education even though I struggled with studies due to (unknown to me at the time) my diagnosis of ADHD. How do you spend your spare time?Spending time with my family, taking Tobie for walks, enjoying art, food and coffee.
