We're pleased to share that our Board recently approved several appointments to key Wounds Australia committees. 

Wounds Australia 2026 Conference

Co-Chairs of the Scientific Program Committee for the Wounds Australia 2026 Conference are Professor Allison Cowin, Deputy Director of the Future Industries Institute of the University of South Australia, and Wounds Australia Board Director Dr Peta Tehan of Monash University. 

In early 2025, we will be inviting Wounds Australia members to submit expressions of interest in joining the Conference Scientific Program Committee. Stay tuned to the News Centre and to our fortnightly newsletter, The Gauzette, for details. 

Credentialing Committee opportunities

The Board also approved the appointment of former Director Cindy Williams to the position of Chair of the Wounds Australia Credentialing Committee. 

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from members in joining this committee, which will provide a clear, industry-recognised pathway for clinicians to demonstrate the necessary knowledge, skills and attributes to be recognised by their peers as a primary, advanced or expert credentialed professional.

• The skills and attributes you offer 
• Your background and interest in wound care education and training. 

Please attach to the email a Curriculum Vitae of no more than two pages. EOIs close at midnight AEDT on 30 January 2025. All three appointments were made at a meeting of the Board in mid-December 2024.
