Wounds Australia invites its members to an exclusive briefing on the results of an Australian-first survey of consumer attitudes to, and perceptions of, wound care, via Zoom on 16 April, 12.30pm AEST. The survey of more than 500 people – a statistically representative sample that spanned demographics and locations – was completed in late 2024 by sector leader The Retail Doctor Group, an organisation with a long history of excellence in consumer research. Wounds Australia commissioned the survey as part of its work towards creating greater public awareness of chronic wound prevention and care. Its findings about current knowledge levels, preferred sources of health information, and myths and misconceptions sets a vital baseline that inform our consumer outreach until 2027. Wounds Australia CEO Jeff Antcliff ordered the survey and said the report revealed some surprising facts about Australia's wound care awareness. "The evidence of this research will enhance Wounds Australia's ability to connect and communicate to the Australian population to improve wound awareness and change lives," Mr Antcliff said. "We look forward to briefing our valued members, and hope that its insights will support them to deliver the best care."
