Pressure Injury Guideline launch: recordings now available
Tuesday, 1 April 2025

We're pleased to share TEN new professional learning videos exclusively available to Wounds Australia members – completely free as a benefit of membership.

On 1 March, we held a day-long seminar in Sydney marking the launch of The Prevention and Management of Pressure Ulcers/Injuries: Clinical Practice Guideline: The International Guideline (4th Edition) – the global gold standard in PI care.

A sold-out crowd heard from leading pressure injury experts, including representatives from two of three organisations behind the publication: Chair of the Pan Pacific Pressure Injury Alliance Professor Keryln Carville, who programmed and emceed the event, and European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel Chair Professor Zena Moore.

They were joined by a fascinating array of speakers who approached PI prevention and care from different angles – for example, seating and support surface selection, assessment of different skin types, PI in palliative care and podiatry, and the patient's perspective, to name a few.

Recordings of ten sessions are now available to Wounds Australia members online after login; simply navigate to the Member's Area, find the Webinar Library, then click Pressure Injury Guide Launch – and enjoy!

Thank you to our speakers for generously sharing their expertise, and for giving us permission to share their presentations. Thanks also to our event co-hosts, Forward Ability Support | BrightSky Australia, and to our supportive sponsors Solventum and Mölnlycke – all valued Wounds Australia Gold Partners
